  • Created a National Recruitment Calendar outlining dates, locations and SOPs for retail stores, fitness centers and partners
  • Improved Team LIVESTRONG online presence through Group Forums and Social Media to increase reach, promote events, educate and engage partners
  • Identified Team LIVESTRONG Ambassadors in each target area and supported those leaders with education and collateral for recruitment and team leadership
  • Coordinated promotional efforts, including Direct Mail, Flyers and Banners
  • Established a Partner Program with high reach local groups in target areas
  • Launched an Online Viral Marketing Campaign including contacting high-reach bloggers, podcasters, reporters, group discussions and forums
  • Increased involvement with NikeTown training groups across the country
  • Coordinated top local recruitment and fundraising event

Outcomes

  • Increased Team LIVESTRONG running participation by 742% (stated goal 300%) for the 2011 LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon (from 57 runners in 2010 to 480+ in 2011)
  • Increased Team LIVESTRONG fundraising participation by 946% (stated goal 300%) for the 2011 LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon (from $32K in 2010 to $335K in 2011)

As a result of our efforts, Upbeat Marketing was re-hired to design, develop and execute two similar campaigns for the 2012 LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon & Half Marathon and the 2011 LIVESTRONG Challenge Austin.
